Welcome!

First, let me say thank you for considering me to help your journey towards achieving the life you want. I commend you on your decision to better your situation. Whether it be to improve communication in your relationships, alleviate stress and anxiety, recover from traumatic events, or challenge an addiction, know that you have already taken the first and hardest step: the decision to seek help.

As a Psychologist and therapist, I offer you important qualities such as compassion, inspiration, and confidence in your ability to heal, along with 28 years of clinical experience that have given me the necessary training to make sure you receive the best quality of care.   It is my firm belief that together, we can help you feel happier and find solutions to what brings you in to see me.

My style of treatment combines warmth and empathy with a very active and direct approach to help you get results and feel better. I will not passively listen and ask you questions. My job is to directly give you the feedback and direction you are looking for. Although I am very direct and will challenge you, I do so with warmth and humor.

Treatment systems I draw upon are many, and I have a keen sense of what will work best for you depending on your personality and your issue. I routinely utilize a combination of traditional and cutting edge techniques including psychotherapy, Neurophysiologic approaches like EMDR, solution-focused counseling, and Imago Relationship Therapy to produce an effective and results-oriented approach.

The goal is to secure positive change in your life.  If you are dealing with an alcohol or drug abuse, technology addiction, marital or relationship issue, past trauma, anxiety, depression, creativity block, or you just want to get more joy or satisfaction from your life, I know I can help.  I am here to help facilitate your innate ability to see and experience yourself differently and give you the tools to manifest those changes in your life that you seek.

There is indeed hope. We can change our lives. We can heal old wounds. We can reroute old patterns of behavior that no longer suit us.  We can create a fine-tuned version of ourselves we are happy with. When we are at peace with ourselves, the world around us becomes a more peaceful place.

Again, thank you for your consideration as your Doctor and therapist. I look forward to working with you.
